Here is the fourth and finally part of the year-end reviews. I am linking up with Confessions from an Impulsive Addict for this review. If you missed the first three parts you can find them here, here, and here.
A review of 2011

October
In October I picked up with my writing about life in India and what I think about it. I wrote more on the food, Diwali, and a trip we had here when Logan was just a baby. Sometimes I like to write about my personal childhood memories, and often the ones that come to me are triggered by something that is happening with my own kids, like this one. Logan learned how to tattle on daddy, too.
I started working on the stockings I made for Christmas, started planning for Logan and Scarlett's birthdays, and Scarlett learned how to stand. I also got these cute photos that I plan on framing some day.
November's highlight was Logan's and Scarlett's birthdays. Having kids with birthdays only a day apart can be stressful if planning two parties, so this year we skipped the big parties and celebrated at home with just us, since Logan did have a party at school. It is possible that when they are older, they will demand separate parties, just like my youngest brother and I did. Funny, I just remembered that our birthdays are also one day apart.
The winter monsoon hit, making it super wet and cold for about two weeks straight, and we all got colds. I kept working on those stockings and finally got them finished in time to hang them for Christmas. And Scarlett started walking. Yay!
December
Yay, Christmas, and being the last month, I can remember it best, ha. Well, it was quiet for us, no visitors or houseguests. I did some baking - fruitcakes, nanaimo bars, and more fruitcakes. I actually got a late start and found this great page with tips that I will follow for next year. I'm surprised I didn't do any cookies. I actually meant to do gingerbread men with the kids and it didn't happen.
Other than shopping and baking we didn't do too much except go to a resort for a day, and we went to a mall on the 24th for some fun. The weather right now is beautiful, sunny and windy, with highs around 25-28 deg., but it does get cold at night, dropping to 18 or so. If you read my summer posts you will know that is cold for us.
So now I plan on taking a little blogging break and will see you all again in the new year.
Happy New Year!
Last minute update: We are ending the year with a bang as we are riding out a cyclone. Being on the coast, we get such things periodically. So far we have had 48 non-stop hours of rain, and this will continue until the storm dies which won't happen until it gets further inland. I hope it ends soon.

| She invented her own roller skates by walking on some Lego cars while wearing my shoes. Smart. |

Oh hope your storm ends soon too! My brother and I had birthdays a couple of weeks apart and keys had separate parties until I was about 14- then we would have parties together all the time.
Thanks so much for linking up all four weeks, I have this weeks and your bonus point recorded.
I just read your post about tattling on Daddy! Very cute! And I love your daughter's roller skates. Hopefully your rain ends soon!
Love the standing picture! Thanks for linking up again!
I just read your entries about India. I really enjoyed the one about Diwali! I remember my parents telling me about that tradition! There is also a day they told me about where everyone flies kites... That sounds like a REALLY fun custom!!! I seriously cannot WAIT to get to India!
LOL Lego skates. Kids are awesome! They are so inventive. I don't think I was ever so creative.
